The Great Basin Institute (GBI) is seeking proposals from qualified entities for an Integrated Weeds Management Project, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Environmental Assessment (EA). This Forest-wide project is being planned with the Supervisors Office of the Umpqua National Forest (UMP) in Roseburg, OR. The project area includes all National Forest System lands within the UMP. By implementing methods for manual, mechanical, cultural, biological, and chemical treatments of noxious and invasive weeds, the UMP seeks to enhance its ability to respond to restoration and active forest management needs across the Forest.
This NEPA planning effort will not require any fieldwork. The analysis will be completed in accordance with the most recent USDA Forest Service NEPA regulations (7 CFR 1b) and will align with guidance and documentation relevant to Region 6, including the Northwest Forest Plan (1994) and the Biological Opinion for Aquatic Restoration Activities in the Pacific Northwest (ARBO) as updated.
